1. Ideas
It all begins with an idea. This has been a huge step for me. I've always wanted to start something but never pulled the trigger—until now. Whether it's a lack of confidence, inability to find the time, or sheer procrastination, I'm sure everyone has had similar blocks that have prevented their ideas from coming to fruition. I want to share my process and ideas to hopefully inspire people and help them connect to their environments.
A little bit about me: I'm 34, born and raised in Utah, USA. I have an amazing wife of 8 years, and together we have our little boy who's almost 3. I recently graduated with a Bachelor's in Architecture and have since been accepted into a Master's program starting in January 2026 in Italy (more on this later).
I was always a creative person, but I didn't decide on architecture until about four years ago. My grandfather was an architect and had many projects I was able to experience before he passed away. One of those projects was my childhood home, where I lived for a time. It was dubbed "The Round House." As the name suggests, it was a circular house with a domed roof. There was a main circular hallway surrounding a fire pit seating area, with rooms branching off the hallway in pie shapes. It was unique—it took a lot of people time to get used to it. But it was a central gathering point for the neighborhood. It brought people together and was the first time I felt like a space was designed to make you feel something.
Designing something—anything really, but for me, a space in particular—was what sold the idea. Being able to inspire people through creative spaces, helping people heal more fully with spaces designed for healing. There are limitless opportunities to benefit the way people live just by designing smarter spaces. I want to share this exploration of designed spaces, whether it be architecture, landscaping, nature, or some other form. There is power in all of it. I'm excited to share my experiences and my curiosity with all of you. I hope you'll stay and share this journey with me.
